Hi Laurent,

Many thanks for this wonderful package. My team and I are super excited to use it, however we are getting some confusing errors related to gcc during the install. We have tried many things including changing versions of gcc, and although I am on Mac OS X currently, I have also tried installing on plain ubuntu (some examples of errors attached). I also tried updating the header files in the c code to update malloc.h to stdlib.h, and also tried recompiling the code with cython. Is there something that I am overlooking?

Thank you so much again, I really appreciate your work on itzi

Sincerely

Alex

Alexander,

By the look of the error on the screenshot you posted, the clang version you are using on your mac does not support OpenMP.
You could modify setup.py to change the compilation options and remove openmp, but then the computations will be much slower.
I do not know enough about macOS to be able to help you unfortunately.

Laurent

Hi Laurent,

Many thanks for your quick reply! I may have found a workaround and was able to get Itzï to run on terminal. I actually made a write up of how to solve my error - I just want to make sure I can run the tutorial in combination with grass, but once thats done I will send over what I needed to do to make it work on Mac

Many thanks again for this great software

Alex
