brings together the high-performance Cisco IronPort® Web Security
Appliance and ScanSafe's leading SaaS web security service to offer
superior on-premise, hosted, and hybrid-hosted web security solutions.

vision to build a borderless network security architecture that
combines network and cloud-based services for advanced security

Cisco IPS Card for the Cisco ASA 5505
The hardware-accelerated IPS card (AIP SSC-5) for the Cisco ASA 5505
Adaptive Security Appliance is now available for shipping. The
card’s intrusion prevention capabilities greatly enhance firewall
protection by blocking threats and network attacks, including worms,
Trojans, viruses, and attacks against operating system and application
vulnerabilities. Providing up to 75 Mbps of IPS throughput, the AIP
SSC-5 can protect both IPv6 and IPv4 networks.

Cisco SA 500
Series Security Appliances Expand Security Features
The Cisco SA 500 Series of all-in-one security appliances for small
businesses now features an intrusion prevention system (IPS) to
automatically detect and stop intrusions, block peer-to-peer and
instant messaging traffic, and perform protocol inspection. Additionally,
the new anti-virus and anti-malware Cisco ProtectLink Endpoint product
works with the Cisco SA 500 Series to block Internet access for Windows
systems that are not secured.
