Good Morning!

We will be holding a Zoom meeting on Monday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. to hear about the proposed project at 12 Perkins Avenue:

Description of the project at 12 Perkins Avenue, Hyde Park:

“We are proposing the conversion of our existing detached 3-car garage into a single-story accessory dwelling unit (ADU) to provide safe, accessible, and comfortable living accommodations for our mother. The newly renovated space will include a living room, kitchen, dining area, bathroom, and bedrooms—all designed on one level to ensure ease of mobility.

This project aims to relocate her from the second floor of the main residence to a ground-level unit, thereby eliminating the physical challenge of stairs and enhancing her independence and safety. The ADU will be fully functional as a private living space while remaining in close proximity to the main home, allowing us to continue offering care and support as needed.”

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, we had the meeting. Neighbors reached out who didn’t attend and provided support for the project. I did not receive any comments that expressed concern.
