Notes from November meeting:
Police Report:
- October 6, assault at BHA apartments
- 53 Summer Street, someone approached and threatened
- Zero robberies, breaking and entering, auto thefts, drugs
- 14 Austin Street, vehicle broken into
Rep Consalvo:
- Canterbury Street Bridge work continues to be under way. Lessons learned from River Street Bridge helped to improve crosswalks and access to local businesses in that area.
- River Street Bridge should be at 25% design and an update should be imminent for community involvement for design and discussions around when it will be closed again for replacement
- Congratulations to Emily Carrera, Rob's aide who is now attending law school!
City Council and Neighborhood Services Updates:
- The Dale Street tennis courts have been named in honor of Kim O'Connell, a local resident and tireless advocate for Sherrin Woods
- 101 Summer Street home construction - there are no building violations. A new contractor is expected to take over the completion of the project
- On December 10 there will be a hearing to discuss the use of cameras for traffic enforcement.
- Three decker homes and accessory dwelling units (ADU's) are being encouraged to address the needs of housing for residents
