At 1:00 on Friday, July 18, the office of Councilor Pepen will be kicking off their Field Friday initiative at the George Wright Golf Course.

"Field Friday" is Councilor Pepen’s community engagement program designed to ensure they are on the ground, exploring neighborhoods, connecting with residents, and addressing community concerns firsthand.

Please feel free to email Gabe Cruz from Councilor Pepen’s office if you would like to attend, and send along any questions/concerns/suggestions you have ahead of the meeting.

Hope you can attend!

Thank you, Joan.  I don't think I am able to make it on Friday, but I just wrote to Gabriel, and it would be great if someone attending can also raise the issue of the rotary that connects Braeburn to Myopia Road, and the constant speeding of cars bypassing the rotary on the left.  The rotary is a failure of design in its attempt to slow cars, and lacks adequate and understandable signage (there's been a broken arrow sign for weeks), and there's no arrows or lane paintings in the road to help direct drivers.  I know there are rules about where speed humps can go, but I think an easy potential solution is to put a speed hump on the left side of the rotary to disincentivize folks from speeding past the rotary without having to go through the city process of a complete street redesign.  I know folks have been raising this issue for years, but it's time for a solution.  Thanks. -- Tim (Myopia Road)

Thank you, Tim. Glad you emailed this directly to Gabe.
Occasionally I use Myopia Road, and I agree with you, I've seen some accidents waiting to happen at that rotary.
Gabe, hopefully you can help us out with this. There is no signage, and drivers do seem confused as to which way they are supposed to go.
Once you've had the meeting, please let's connect on some outstanding issues raised at the meeting.

I love on the corner if Austin and Myopia and the city put a sign on the side of my house and my neighbor next door about the rotary which no ones pay any attention to maybe if these drivers were fined they might pay attention but that's rotary is going to have a serious accident some day

Thanks, Anne, for your confirmation of the rotary issue.
If you haven’t already, please email your concern to Gabrie...@boston.gov

The more people who voice their concerns directly may have an impact on how quickly we can get a resolution.
