Hello!

My name is Andrealis Martinez and I’m the Community Engagement Manager at the Fairmount Indigo CDC Collaborative. We are hosting an event on June 28th and we would love to invite you, your networks and the neighborhoods of our service area which are Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan & Hyde Park. We would love for you to help us spread the word out! See below more information, the RSVP link and feel free to reach out (or check our social media - https://www.instagram.com/fairmountcollab?igsh=ZjEwNjIyeDdmNmp2&utm_source=qr) to get the official flyer.

Beat the Heat. Protect Your Health. Empower Your Community! FICC is excited to host our first-ever Extreme Heat Preparedness Day Workshop in a partnership with Climate Code Blue, a group of health experts and physicians whose campaign worked across Boston to raise awareness and promote action around the health impacts of climate change, especially in historically underserved neighborhoods.

As extreme heat becomes more common, being prepared can save lives. Join us for a free, high-impact workshop designed to help our community stay informed, cool, safe, and resilient this summer.

What you will get:

Practical tips & tools for staying cool during heat waves
Information and resources about the impacts of Climate Change on our health and neighborhoods
Expert guidance on how to prepare your home and care for vulnerable neighbors
Window A/C units raffle! 50 Heat Emergency Kits — including water bottles, SPF 50 sunscreen, hats, umbrellas, first aid supplies & more. Priority for the Emergency Kits will be given to those who RSVP in advance!
