| | Become an Age Strong Property Tax Work-off Volunteer! Through Age Strong’s Property Tax Work-off Program, eligible older Boston homeowners can work-off up to $2,000 off their property tax bill by volunteering with the City of Boston at sites like public schools, community centers, or city offices. The 2027 program cycle is now open, and the deadline to apply is July 10, 2026. Download the application here. | | Senior Circuit Breaker Tax Credit |

| | Save on Taxes with the Senior Circuit Breaker Tax Credit Residents 65+ may be eligible for a refundable tax credit on their state personal income tax return. The Circuit Breaker tax credit is based on the actual amount of real estate taxes or rent paid on a principal residence, and the maximum credit amount for tax year 2025 is $2820. To apply for the Circuit Breaker Tax Credit, complete Schedule CB of your Massachusetts state income tax return. For more information about the tax credit, visit here. | | Calling All Teaching Artists! |

In partnership with Lifetime Arts and Goddard House, Age Strong will offer Creative Aging Foundations’ Trainings for both teaching artists and organizations. The training for teaching artists is Thursday, March 19, and the training for organizations is Friday, March 20. Both will take place at the Civic Pavilion, Boston City Hall, 10am-5pm. The trainings are designed to help teaching artists and organizations craft their own creative aging programs, and expand access to the arts for older adults. | | Boston Residents Can Help Decide How to Spend Part of the City’s Budget! Ideas into Action is Boston's new city-wide Participatory Budgeting initiative, where residents can decide how to spend a part of the City's budget. ThroughFebruary 15 Boston residents can vote and decide on how $2.2 million in Participatory Budgeting funds will be used for community-driven projects across the City. Selected projects are one-time, non-recurring investments. This is an opportunity to select the initiatives that will have the biggest impact in your community.
