Good morning!

We are excited to announce that our Hyde Park Day of Play will now be hosted on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 from 3-7PM at Ross Playground in Hyde Park. Please note the change of date and time, and we invite you to both participate and share the event information.

The Hyde Park Day of Play is a block party and community event focused on and celebrating Hyde Park youth. The day will be filled with family friendly fun, vendors, live music from DJ Boomz, free food, civic engagement activities, and more! The event will conclude with our 1st annual Hyde Park Alumni basketball game where the "youngsters" will face the "OGs." New flyers are attached below.

Please register and share here: bit/ly/HPBlockParty

If you are interested in volunteering to support this event, please reply to this email.

We are accepting vendors, sponsors, and donations for the event, so people reach out to us via email if you or anyone you know is interested in supporting in any way. We will followup.

We are thrilled to announce that our basketball game will be sponsored by Akiki Auto and are thankful for their continued support of the Hyde Park community. Also, we would like to thank Mayor Wu's Office of Civic Organizing for selecting us to receive a Block Party Mini Grant to support this event. Lastly, thank you to the Menino YMCA and the Hyde Park Community Center for their support.

Hosted by the Community Input Board of Hyde Park, the Empower Me Institute, Inc., and the Afrimerican Academy with civic engagement support from the Forum for Racial Equity via Educational Experiences in Hyde Park.
