Senior Software Engineer – Cryptography & Security

Location: Remote — United States

Work Authorization: U.S. citizenship required


Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.

Develop systems that collect, normalize, associate, and analyze large volumes of technical and security-related data.

Build workflows that identify risks, prioritize findings, and support remediation tracking.

Develop user-facing dashboards, searchable inventory views, reporting features, and data visualizations.

Contribute to frontend development using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Design and maintain automated testing, deployment, and release pipelines.

Build secure cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows using AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.

Improve platform reliability, performance, observability, and security.

Participate in architecture reviews and help establish engineering standards and best practices.

Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate design decisions.

Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.

Take ownership of features from initial design through production deployment and ongoing support.


Required Qualifications

5 or more years of professional experience building and supporting production software systems.

Strong software development experience using Golang and Python.

Working knowledge of TypeScript, Bash, React, and Node.js.

Experience designing APIs, microservices, and distributed backend applications.

Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Strong experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

Familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, or comparable data technologies.

Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments.

Ability to independently evaluate technical requirements and make sound architectural decisions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

U.S. citizenship is required for consideration.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or similar deployment technologies.

Knowledge of application observability, monitoring, logging, and security engineering.

Experience integrating artificial intelligence capabilities into software products.

Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or similar AI integration frameworks.

Experience working with ServiceNow APIs or enterprise integration platforms.

Understanding of public key infrastructure, TLS, digital certificates, encryption, or cryptographic technologies.

Experience supporting macOS environments.

Additional experience with cloud security, infrastructure automation, or platform engineering.

Previous experience developing software for government, defense, cybersecurity, or highly regulated organizations.
