Hello everyone,

As you would be aware, Institute Technical Summer Projects (ITSP) was a huge success last year. It was a platform like never before for students to implement their ideas with the guidance of their seniors. It has almost single-handedly changed the Tech-culture of the institute for the better. This year, it is back, and it is going to be bigger, better and more fun filled. Mentorship is the back-bone ITSP and a strong mentor-ship program is of paramount importance for not only the success of ITSP, but also for the overall betterment of the technical activities in the institute.

The STAB team calls upon all the students to be a part of this momentous program. You, as an ITSP Mentors endowed with the hands-on experience of participating in technical activities, would ensure that tech at IITB, moves to the next level. You would mentor freshmen and set into motion the transition to a new era where the IITians will realize the true meaning of technology in their life.

Why become an ITSP Mentor?

1. You love doing tech and want to create a real difference in the Institute tech scene
2. As you mentor 2 teams over this summer you will get a unique opportunity to learn as you teach.
3. An experience of mentorship which will stay with you for the rest of your life
4. As you mentor and co-ordinate with students, you will help them set their deadlines and a POA and make sure they achieve those. A hands-on
experience at managing projects and teams
5. We will most definitely certify the help you have provided
6. Your words will influence a batch of freshmen who are the future of the IIT Bombay Tech Scene

We plan to assign one ITSP Mentor for every 2 teams. You can be both on campus or off campus during the summer for being a part of this program. Though on campus mentors would be preferred.

What will be expected from an ITSP Mentor?

1. Mentors are expected to frequently visit their respective teams and develop a good rapport with them (3 to 4 times a week)
2. Mentors will help evaluate team abstracts and set achievable milestones for the projects.
3. Mentors must ensure that the teams submit their weekly reports and meet their deadlines in time
4. Mentors must themselves be technically sound and have some knowledge about the relevant details of the team projects. This can be in fields
