Technovation is an expressway to innovation, a platform for students to float innovative projects, recruit teams, get funded, find mentors and realize their dream projects.. This years' Technovation 2012-13, was a great success..
We introduce to you “Technovation Summer” where in you can take up your idea and work on it this Summer. We expect that these projects complete by the end of it. So start scratching your head and try to think out of the box. If you cannot think out of the box, break the box.You would want to make use of this opportunity to build/create something that you always wanted to, solve real life engineering problems or anything you can think of. We are always open to all ideas.
Why Technovation Summer?
Summer is the time when there are no academic loads, less commitments and also creativity is at its peak. NOW is the is the right time to start. Also if you complete your project in Summer you might as well continue the next phase of your project in coming semester. Apart from the joy of innovation, you become a part of technical community and meet like-minded fighters
Selection Procedure:
We believe passion, desire and willpower are the most important qualities to be successful and hence instead of floating projects, we are inviting students to pitch in their ideas and be team leaders. These ideas need to be submitted in the form of an abstract detailing the technical aspects. Best innovative ideas with technologically sound solutions would be selected on by the review committee.
Abstract Details:.
i. Problem Statement – This section describes what exactly is the problem solved by the project. It should also include the expected outcome after successful completion of the project.
ii. Solution – This would describe how the team leader wishes to tackle the problem. It should be detailed and technically sound. It should also highlight the possible challenges and how they would be overcome. Also Plan B which states another approach incase plan A fails.
iii. It should reflect the seriousness with which you have done your groundwork.
iv. Costs – Expected costs to be incurred.
v. Timeline – Rough timeline which breaks down project into verifiable targets.
Eligibility:
Undergraduate students who have completed more than 3 semesters in the Institute
PG students who have completed at least 1 semester in the Institute.
Freshmen: Their involvement will be considered later.
Brain Storming Session:
Also we will be holding a brain storming session for the same in about a week. Exact date/time and venue will be communicated
