It has very much to do with ItsNat, because current Twitter.com is currently following an approach similar to ItsNat way of SPI development (stateful or stateless).

The main difference between ItsNat and Twitter is you don't need to work in a multi-million company like Twitter to make similar SPI SEO compatible (stateless or stateful) websites ;)
