Hello Rares

The essential communication of ItsNat is AJAX because AJAX requests are the basic mechanism to get partial updating from server and client-server communication in general based on clearly delimited interactions.

Anyway I recognize WebSockets maybe a great option for COMET currently based on long-polling AJAX, it is in the TODO list.

Thanks for your suggestion

Hello,

Have you considered supporting WebSockets in ItsNat? As WebSockets are natively supported by all modern browsers, this might improve the performance of ItsNat (including latency), as well as lessen the bandwidth over long polling. WebSockets are not new anymore, they have been supported for years by major browsers.

Regards,

Rares
