Position Title	BI Quality Dev

Project/Role Scope and Description:   At the Foundation’s direction, responsibilities will include the development of a web-based or Excel-based scorecard to display a suite of customized Data Quality & BI metrics. General Responsibilities: - Using technologies such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Tableau, PowerPivot, and/or HTML5, create compelling visualizations using data pulled from a variety of data sources (e.g., SQL Server, flat files, SharePoint, web services). - Work in partnership with business users, BI analysts and subject matter experts to understand and develop BI requirements, including report/dashboard mockups. - Role is associated with the Foundation’s ongoing Clarity Data Governance initiative. Core role requirement involves: - the detail tracking and data profiling of core EDW attributes; - developing a set of data quality metrics for the same; - developing a Power Pivot model from the data and associated metrics that can in turn be deployed into a SQL Server 2012 tabular model; - exposing the collected metrics outcomes through either a web-based or Excel-based presentation solution; - Requires a self-reliant consultant that can swiftly ramp up on the Foundation’s core need, and deliver the project with minimal supervision. - Develop end product (scorecard) iteratively with input and feedback from business.

Skills Required:   -BA or Developer with strong SQL skills and onsite client experience with requirements gathering, F2F interaction with the business, detail data profiling and analysis, and visualizing data output via Power Pivot, SSRS, or Tableau reporting tools; - 3-5+ years with Microsoft BI stack. Emphasis on SQL Server 2012 BISM stack, including Power Pivot and the tabular model. - Experience with Tableau and exposing visualizations via SharePoint. - Solid English communication skills – should be able to interact with business users and SMEs across business and IT. - Solid SQL skills – comfortable developing complex queries against transactional systems and the enterprise ODS. - Ability to engage others (business & IT) collaboratively to drive towards deliverables
