Database upgrade (SQL 2005 to SQL 2008) project. The delivery phase should last until the end of the year and successful delivery should lead to a client partnership. The client is a hedge fund with very heavy security on everything. The heavy security makes this project much more interesting than a traditional upgrade effort. A great deal of the database administration tasks are completed through the use of a homegrown custom application layer written on top of SQL 2005. |
