Any ideas how to add the temperature to the graph?

I never built in any way to add temperature recordings. TED5000
doesn't offer temperature natively; I did so preliminary work with
CurrentCost that should be expandable to include temperature, but
since I never advertised that I suspect you're not a CurrentCost user!

If you have a separate data source for temperature data that is in, or
can be massaged into, Google Visualization API data format, it could
be combined with the its-electric data in the client for display. Let
me know if you want to pursue that, I can give you some pointers.

Best,
Robert

Great program - I have been working on water cooling my a/c ( its saving 800 watts) and the ted interface is hard to work with down the the watt

I would like to work on it - Thanks

Are you more interested in historical weather data, or in current conditions?

What kind of granularity of weather data works for you? Daily high?
Daily high and low? Or do you need hourly?

Hi Robert!

Hey, joining this conversation a little late..  ;-)

I too have some interest in integrating temperature data with my chart..  I recently had my house converted to new remotely readable power meters, then the PUC implemented this product: http://mymeter.co

…which has the Google charts and visualization API look to it for sure.  It also features the local temperature - for the HEADQUARTERS of the PUC, some 40  miles away and quite close to the ocean.  Needless to say, it's pretty far off from reality.

Just by coincidence, I'm ALSO working on installing a peet bros weather station at this house, so I'll have fairly accurate information available in real time.

Anyway, that all seemed to collide sort of nicely with this conversation, so I thought I'd throw in my two bits in support of some way to add temp data?

I'm honestly not nearly as smart as I should be, so I'm not clear on, say, time stamp requirements in the database, or how introducing an additional field/data point might be accomplished, especially considering the outside nature of the data..

I use a UNIX based OS (both the now defunct Open Solaris and current better choice, Open Indiana) so I can pass or set variables to be interrogated by the its-electric daemon, for instance.  Not clear how a windows OS can accomplish similar functionality.

Anyway, don't take this as a burning excuse to waste hours right before Christmas!  But in general, I too am interested in archiving temperature data on the same sample rate as the power readings.

Thanks so much for your time!  I still owe you a Solaris (now variant) how to..  I may get off my butt and give that a shot sometime..  ;-)

Sincerely,

-ET-
