We would love to see the electric power usage charts generated by its-electric on our non-FLASH mobile devices.  In looking at the Google visualization API, it wasn't apparent if using this API without  FLASH is possible.  Does anyone with the knowledge of the Google API know if there is an HTML 5 or non-FLASH way to generate the visual output so the power could be monitored on mobile devices like iPhones and iPads?

The its-electric server serves information in the format of the Google
Chart Tools Datasource protocol, so with a little work, you should be
able to use lots of different charts. In fact, there is a drop-in
HTML5 replacement for the Flash-based chart:

https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/annotationchart

I was experimenting with it a few months ago, and it was much less
responsive than the Flash-based chart. Probably performance will be
even worse on mobile. Maybe though if you constrain to relatively low
resolutions it will serve your needs.

Let me know if I should try to create the JavaScript for you... I
might be able to do that later this week.

Hello Robert,

Did you happen to put together the javascript for its-electric that will run without Flash?  Would it be possible for the javascript to detect if flash is installed, or not, and then use flash when present and HTML5 when flash isn't present?

Would love to be able to access my its-electric web site from my iPhone and iPad, but still get the performance of Flash when running from my laptop.

Thank you,

Paul

Did a non-flash version ever get released? I know the major browsers are getting ready to drop Flash support in the coming months.
