Can someone help me with this? I'm trying to open a series of DICOM files, but once it tries to load these files into ITK, there is an error that says "Image has a valid orientation (code ASA)". How can I get my DICOMs to load so I can segment them?
Thanks!

Hi Erin

Could you send a dataset along? I would like to investigate if this is a problem with the dataset (improperly encoded image orientation) or ITK-SNAP.

As a workaround, you can convert the DICOM into another format (e.g., NIFTI) using dcm2nii or ImageJ and then open in ITK-SNAP. If the problem persists with those formats, use C3D to override the orientation field in the image header

c3d input.nii -orient RAI -o output.nii

Thanks!
Paul.
