Hi All,

I installed ITKSnap v3.8 on Windows Server 2019 system and tried loading a sample image(GIPL) provided in the ITKSnap tutorial documentation. However, after the loading nothing works. When I double click on the uploaded image (attached screenshot), it does not go to the next screen (containing the 4 different planar views). Is there any compatibility issues for the software when its run on a Windows server edition instead of the usual windows 10 OS?

Regards,
Ashish

I ran into this same issue with ITK-SNAP ver 3.8 when using Windows Remote Desktop to log into Windows 11 server, but when I log into the computer directly, I am able to view axial, coronal, & sagittal views as well as scroll through images properly. Also, when I use VNC to connect to the server rather than Remote Desktop I am able to use ITK-SNAP properly as well... so this seems to be a Remote Desktop issue.

Best,
Sara

Hi Sara,

Thanks for your response. As suggested, I tried accessing the computer (server - Windows server 2019) directly as well. However, the issue still persists (4 planar views doesn't load). Hence, I suspect its not just an RDP issue. Would be really helpful if you (or the ITKSnap users community) have any further suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Ashish

For what it's worth, I too had issues with remote desktop that seemed to originate from the graphics card. The solution was to move all monitors to the graphics card, rather than having my monirots connected to the graphics card *AND* motherboard ports.

Perhaps a driver or two need to be updated?
