ERROR: Wrong format

I'm using ITK version 3.6.0 on a 64 bit WIN10.

When I try to open any image in ITK-SNAP I get the message error "Error worg format. The IO library for the format 'GIPL' (or orther extension file) can not read the image file."

When I use the ITK-SNAP 3.6.0 in MacOS the same file is read normally

Anyone can help me

This often happens when the images are on a USB drive, network drive, or in a folder that has non-ASCII characters in the name.
