Hi,
I have been using ITK-Snap for a few weeks, now. But, after the most recent update of my Windows (or at least I can't think of anything else that happened), I am getting the following startup error:

"Exception occurred during ITK-SNAP startup

E:\tk\bb3\Nightly\itk\v4.12.2\itk\Modules\IO\XML\src\itkXMLFile.cxx:104:

junk after document element C:/Users/OK/AppData/Roaming/itksnap.org/ITK-SNAP/UserPreferences.xml"

I tried downloading ITK again and reinstalling it, but still get the same error. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Omid

Hi Omid,

Please try deleting the said file and starting ITK-SNAP again

Thanks,
Paul

Hello, I am getting the "Exception occurred during ITK-SNAP startup" error and the program will not start after 7 years of using it. So I installed version 3.8.0 into a different directory and it won't start either.  I am using Windows 10.  I do not have, or at least cannot find, the file UserPreferences.xml

Grateful for help!

For anyone following this thread in the future, the file can be hidden by Windows, or should I say, the AppData directory was hidden (by our system administrators) and so I had to use DOS via the command line to locate and delete the file!
