4.4.0

I've been working with 4.4.0 and I like many of the updated features, especially the swap button for the labels.

However, I found that the program starts off working ok, but then begins to slow-down at a later point in time. That is, the scrolling is slow and the lasso/painting is also slow.

I've also found that this occurs in the registration module.

I didn't have this issue with 4.2.0

Has any one had this issue, too?

Hi Matt,

Have you tried to monitor the memory usage when this happen? We recently fixed some memory leaks (https://github.com/pyushkevich/itksnap/pull/224). Maybe that will help.

Hi Jilei, 

Yes, I see my RAM exploding as I'm working on my image files.

Since I don't have the means to compile the code locally, and I see that the most recent nightly build for windows on sourceforge is from 2025-11-12 which would likely contain the memory leak, do you anticipate a new official windows release soon?
