save Reoriented Image ITK-snap

Hi itksnap Users, 

I have some MRI images that are not oriented in the right way. 
I tried to reorient them using Tools > Reorient image ... > and then changing the RAI Code. 
I apply the changes and save the image (NiFTI format). 
When I reload the saved Image in ITK-SNAP the images are no longer reoriented. 
Is there a way to save the reoriented image or adapt the header file of the images in ITK-SNAP?
