Are you using a newer (M1 silicon) Mac by chance?   Several others of us have had the same problem in this context.

Please provide some details and screenshots. Not aware of this issue. Pressing x key toggles crosshairs, could that be it?

Thank you so much for your responses!
1.Yes, I'm using M1 pro.
2. I tried pressing x key but it didn't help.

Hi,

Which ITK-SNAP version are you using?

Best,

I can reproduce your issue on the M1 Mac. It could be that the OpenGL code we were using for rendering slice view is working differently with rosetta on M1 Macs.

Some ways to work around this issue:

- Download this nightly build of the latest development version that is built for M1 chip. Note that it is still under development and testing, so there could be some bugs (reporting them is welcomed!)
- If you have to work with version 3.8, followings will not completely address the issue but are better than nothing
- Display the additional image layers as Semi-transparent overlay will make the cross-hair show up
- If the images have to be displayed as separate images, you can open your main image in a separate instance of ITK-SNAP. The cross-hair will show up on that instance

Hope it helps.

Dear ITK-SNAP developers,

Do we have any perspective on when this issue will be solved, please?
I've tried the nightly build version, but for some reason, it does not perform linear interpolation, which does work on the 3.8.0 version.

Thank you,
Jona

Thank you for letting us know about the linear interpolation. This will be a priority to address. Hang in with us, we are trying to get lots of issues fixed up for a 4.0 release - we changed the rendering backend and this has created lots of issues like this.

And this issue is already fixed in a pending patch. I'm trying to squeeze in another important bug fix before pushing this one (together with many others) out.

Best,
Jilei
