The interim 1.9.2 release of ITK-SNAP is available for download from http://itksnap.org
. This release is an early preview of the upcoming 2.0 release. It
features support for multiple image layers, such as statistical
overlays, multi-modality images, etc. It also features improvements to
the user interface, such as a new simpler menu, native file choosers,
automatic updates, and much more. Multi-layer support required an
extensive refactoring of the ITK-SNAP code base, and part of the
reason for this interim release is to get feedback from users on
stability. Please send us your bug reports!
The bulk of the work in this release has been done by Hui "Gary" Zhang
at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Zhang also develops DTI-TK and
a QuickLook plugin for Mac OSX, a great companion to ITK-SNAP. These
tools are available at http://www.nitrc.org/frs/?group_id=207
Continued development and maintenance of ITK-SNAP is supported by the
U.S. National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and BioEngineering and
the NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience through grant 1 R03 EB008200-01.
Thank you
Paul.
