is responsible for the computer systems within a company, overseeing
installation, ensuring back up systems operate effectively, purchasing
hardware and software, providing the IT technology infrastructures for
an organisation, and contributing to organisational policy regarding
quality standards and strategic planning.

Candidate Profile:
# evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that IT
facilities meet these needs;
# planning, developing and implementing the IT budget, obtaining
competitive prices from suppliers where appropriate, to ensure cost
effectiveness;
# scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software
systems;
# researching and installing new systems;
# ensuring the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus
software, print services and email provision;
# ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to;
# providing secure access to the network for remote users;
# ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack;
# providing users with appropriate support and advice;
# managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical
hardware or software problems;
# mentoring and training new IT support staff;
# keeping up to date with the latest technologies


Educational Qualification Should have a relevant background.
Preferably B.E. Graduate.

Experience Should have a minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience.

Skills Set • Should have Strong analytical skills.
• Should be able to understand any technology though not an expert in
it. Example (Voip).
• Should have an exposure towards networking and should be able to
trouble shoot network related issues.
• Should be able to troubleshoot desktop related issues.
• Should be able to understand databases and relationship between
them.
• Manage a team and train them on the latest technological updates
that the company is going through.
• Should be able to do a cost analysis.
• Should manage IT assets, bills and will be responsible for approval.
• Should be able to communicate and co-ordinate with different vendors
and get things done.
