Hey IHE! Check out this announcement from our friends at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase:

 

The Interop Showcase Team is seeking engaged HIMSS23 Interoperability Showcase Ambassadors to assist attendees and help convey the value of standards-based interoperability through your unique perspective.

You are encouraged to apply! All levels and types of professional or educational backgrounds are welcome.

What’s the plan? Ambassadors who are chosen will complete pre-event and onsite training and receive compensation + registration benefits in exchange for approximately 7 hours on duty. Apply now!

Deadline: Applications are open through Friday, December 23rd, 2022. Notifications about selection will be sent by Friday, January 13th, 2023.

The Interoperability Showcase will be located on the HIMSS23 exhibition floor at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, from April 18 - 20, 2023 (training on the 17th). Each year the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase draws thousands of people to the largest exhibit on the HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition floor!

What’s the role of a HIMSS Interoperability Showcase Ambassador?

  • Act as a guide for HIMSS23 attendees who want to learn more about standard-based interoperability in a real-world capacity
  • Assist in tour coordination as well as Showcase visitor activity and flow throughout this specialty pavilion 
  • Help answer any questions about the Showcase and enhance attendee's overall conference experience

The benefits of being an Ambassador:

  • Expand your knowledge about current standards and interoperability activities
  • Grow your professional network with a team of subject matter experts
  • Receive a complimentary HIMSS23 badge with access to the exhibition hall and education sessions 
  • Earn compensation : Compensation rate TBA

By completing the application, you agree that you are aware of the requirements to:

  • Attend a one-hour information and training webinar for all Ambassadors in March 2023
  • Attend a HIMSS23 in-person Ambassador training on-site, Monday, April 17th in the afternoon. Details TBA
  • Work one (1) full-day shift or two (2) half-day shifts during exhibition hours
