June 22 to June 23, 2022
The time is now to break interoperability gridlock and advance the Art of the Possible. Join IHE USA for Phase 3 – Defining the Business Case, as we continue our focus on advancing nationwide interoperability –with a special focus on the need to modernize our public health systems. The series kicks off with a keynote message from Tim Pletcher, CEO of MiHIN and Executive Director of the Interoperability Institute and features a discussion of the recommendations outlined in the HIMSS Public Health IT Infrastructure Modernization Report. There will also be a thorough introduction to document sharing of the highest standard in John Moehrke’s Document Sharing Masterclass.

Hello IHE Community!
Join us tomorrow for the final phase of IHE USA’s Path to Production in 2022. We’re kicking it off with a LIVE webinar on the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase in 2023, followed by an essential roundtable discussion on EMS Interoperability and an update on the 2023 IHE North American Connectathon!
Phase 6 – Time to Demonstrate
We started the year defining broad problems that present interoperability roadblocks, and throughout the year we have advanced the discussion in specific domains like EMS and Maternal Health - and identifying potential standards-based solutions. This final event in IHE USA’s year-long Path to Production cycle focuses on the EMS (Emergency Medicine Services) community and advancing interoperability and eOutcomes. In order to advance EMS eOutcomes interoperability, there are a number of smaller goals and milestones that need to be achieved. There are challenges abound related to education, workforce development, policy and governance, as well as technical constraints. The Path to Production aims to highlight common pain points and barriers to interoperability along with potential solutions and next steps to consider to advance your interoperability journey.
