Job Title: Sr. Cognos Developer

Job Location: Greensboro, NC

Position Type: Contract

Main Criteria: Should be well versed with Framework Manager Tool.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for working with the business to gather requirements using a standard and efficient template and methodology.

·         Responsible for data analysis, designing, developing and testing reports in Cognos 11\10.x for the various disciplines within organizations in accordance with standard team processes.

·         Responsible for test plans for new data integration and application reporting projects.

·         Drives efficient and effective internal and customer interfacing reporting processes.

·         Constantly seeks process improvement opportunities and applies Lean Sigma practices to those opportunities.

·         Utilize available tools to run, update and build SQL reports and scripts.

·         Develop, coordinate, and deliver report training materials for the end user. Maintain documentation, manuals and user information.

·         Must be proficient in Cognos 11\10.x Report Studio, Query Studio and Workspace Advanced development.

·         Takes ownerships, organizes appropriate party interaction and facilitates resolution of reporting issues.

·         Responsible to development of customer communications for reporting statuses and issues.

·         Performs analysis and design for business processes and/or projects for reporting needs.

·         Possesses the ability to analyze business process changes and utilize technology to perform complex data analysis.

·         Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results.

·         Demonstrate the ability to learn complex business processes and share experience and knowledge with the business and other team members. Participate in formal and ad hoc training as necessary.

Experience:

·         10+ years relevant work experience

·         1+ Years of experience in Cognos 11.x

·         8 years of business analysis experience

·         8+ years of report development experience

·         8+ years of experience in Framework Manager

·         5+ years of experience in Migration of cognos versions

·         4+ Years of experience in Cube Designer/Dynamic cubes

·         6+ Years of experience in Bursting reports

·         8+ Years of experience in Active Reports Development

·         8+ Years of experience in Dashboard Building

·         Proven experience in performance tuning of cognos reports/models/cubes

·         Proven ability to work professionally and progressively in a matrix organization

·         Proven business process design and development skills

·         Proven analytical skills

·         Proven customer service orientation and excellent communication skills

·         Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

·         Ability and initiative to learn new technologies Education Requirements

·         BS/BA or equivalent work experience
