Greetings!

I'm still working on getting together a time and place for our first
meeting, but, in the meantime, if you could keep an eye out for any
tools that could be used in a hackerspace, or any place where we might
be able to host the hackerspace for minimal rent, that would be great!

Further bulletins as events warrant.

Thanks!
Pete

Hi Pete,

What kind of tools are you referring to?

Drills, pliers, hammers, band saws, screwdrivers, soldering irons, etc.

Thanks!
Pete

glad to find you folks on craig's list!

i recommend this short book, Grow Your Own Media lab:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6410865-grow-your-own-media-lab
... it's a graphic novel showing how to make a free community computer
lab out of dumpstered computer parts.

the worker's center above autumn leaves bookstore rents office space
for $63 per month, and there are groups there that i think might make
good allies to a space like this.

peace,
ari
