lta Planning + Design has been retained to lead the the Cayuga Lake Blueway Trail Plan, a project funded through a grant from the NY Department of State. Alta will lead the committee and public outreach efforts to establish a connected Blueway trail running the entire length of Cayuga Lake. One of the critical factors for improving Cayuga Lake as a paddling destination is to minimize the “gaps” in the Blueway Trail, so paddlers are able to pull-out and have access to water, food, shelter and other services. Identification of these gaps and recommendations for enhancements is one of the primary goals of the planning effort.
