URGENT
- Calling All Hydrilla Hunters! On August 8, hydrilla was
found in Ithaca’s Stewart Park in a small pond connected to
Fall Creek, and in/along the creek adjacent to Newman Golf
Course. Heavy rainfall and creek water flow over the next few
days may have pushed hydrilla offshore into the lake. Plans
are now underway by the experts in the Hydrilla Task Force to
control this outbreak. We need YOU to stop hydrilla from
taking hold elsewhere.
From now until cold weather arrives, your help is URGENTLY NEEDED – we need you to actively search for hydrilla in the shallow south end of Cayuga Lake, along the south-end shoreline, and along the east and west shorelines.
