Visiting from Belle River Ontario

Hi fellow kayakers, we are a family of 3 with intermediate flat water paddling skills. We will be in Ithaca New York Saturday July 26th. We would like to take a nice paddle in the area or if you have a club paddle planned perhaps we join can you. We are members of Windsor Essex County Canoe Club in Windsor, Ontario Canada ( which is 90% kayakers) and we are very used to paddling with a group. The other thing we wish to do while in the area is get a family picture at the stone VW Bug. I have a location but not sure if it's on private property or what one would have to do to get permission for that. If you folks could offer suggestions any information would be appreciated. We all have 17' foot kayaks with appropriate safety gear.
