Just
two weeks left ) to register (ends Sept 7th) for The Cayuga Watershed Network’s CanYou Canoe Cayuga event to be held
Saturday September 14th (rain date Sunday the 15th).
We hope you will join us.
We have hired the popular local band Purple Valley who will perform at the party in Cass Park. Food will again be provided by Kendra’s catering.
So a good time awaits you at the end of your paddle! Also remember that your non-paddling family and friends can join you at the party for the price of a dinner ticket.
Hearty and trained souls can register to paddle the entire 35 mile length of the lake, beginning at Cayuga Lake State Park at
7 am. Others can join the lake at 24, 18 or 8 mile distances with respective later start times. Relay teams are welcome. If a ride back to your start location is needed, we will try to help you. Let us
know.
We are pleased this year to be supported again by Tompkins County Tourism Program and by our new sponsor Cayuga Medical Center. In addition Tompkins Trust, Paddle-N-More at Myers
Point, and Puddle Dockers located in the Ithaca Inlet are all corporate sponsors.
Both Paddle-N-More and Puddle Dockers have been staging training events in August to help paddlers increase their readiness with endurance and paddling skills.
