New issue 1251 by tse...@gmail.com: Ability to use clipboard manager
http://code.google.com/p/iterm2/issues/detail?id=1251

When using the Hot Key window which slides down like the quake console.

When I press Command+Shift+V to pull up ClipMenu which displays my last X
clipboard items, the terminal window retracts and I loose my target to past
into.

I understand that the terminal window hides when it looses focus, but the
native terminal with the visor addon didn't have this issue.

Perhaps simply being able to turn off the "hide terminal window when out of
focus" feature would suffice. This way I can manually hide it when I'm done.

Just a thought.

Thank you

I'm using CopyLess with the cmd+option+C shortcut and experience similar
issues.

There is still no solution for this (personally using Alfred as a clipboard
manager). As noted in
https://code.google.com/p/iterm2/issues/detail?id=580, hiding of focus lost
is implied by "Hotkey toggles dedicated window with profile" option turned
on.

I think automatic hiding it should be a separate option because it makes
hotkey window unusable in "clipboard manager" scenario (and possibly other
scenarios as well).

Fixed in 37771b7.
I tested with ClipMenu and it's ok. I now hide the hotkey window when
another iterm terminal window becomes key or when no iterm window is the
main window.
