how to disable drag-n-drop of selected text

in iterm2 2.1.x you could select text but trying to click on the selected text (while holding down mouse button and dragging down) you see that it just starts a new highlight section.
doing the same thing in 3.x now it thinks you want to drag and drop the text to the app.. which in mutt it breaks the mail client as it thinks you want to execute a shell command.. thus when you exit it kicks you out of mutt.

Turn on "Prefs > Advanced > To drag images or selected text, you must hold ⌘. This prevents accidental drags."
