Hi all,

I’m currently on 3.5.0beta2, and somewhere in the last few beta releases a new behavior with window focus started happening.

In the past, I always had the focus follows mouse option enabled and thats what it did - just mousing over a window would bring focus, but not raise the window. Now, it both steals focus and raises the window, which is kind of a mess on a 13 laptop - the trackpad means tricky positioning of the mouse to avoid grazing an adjacent window, and the small screen size does mean my windows are all quite close to each other or stacked.

Ive been digging through the prefs and dont see a way to disable this. Is this a bug or a feature? If its a feature, I vote for having a way to disable it, even if its a hidden/advanced option (although it should just be another checkbox on the same prefpane that has the focus prefs).

Thanks,

Charles

Did you recently switch to Monterey? There’s another thread relating to different focus issues that seem to be affecting iterm2 on the new OS

Nope - 10.14  (Mojave I think? I can’t keep track of the names) for a very long time now.

Sorry for the crazy delay in getting back to you on this. Please file a bug and include a debug log that reproduces it here https://iterm2.com/bugs
