I am not sure if this happened after an upgrade of Iterm2. But seems like it.
I have been using iterm2 and this feature for years. I have about 40-50 sessions and it has all been getting restored after restarting iterm2 or restarting my Mac.
But after after the upgrade to version 3.6.6 it only restored half of the terminal window sessions. Rest comes as blank with no scroll back history.
Has anyone else had this issue? Or is there a way to troubleshoot?
I have session history enabled to log files. How can I use it to review history log in case I'm not able to restore them.

I’m not sure what’s going on. I wrote a Python script to analyze what is in the saved sessions database. Does it miss some of your sessions? Grab the code from below, make it executable, and run it. It should print a list of windows/tabs/sessions that are in the state file. State is saved when iTerm2 is transitioned from active to inactive (i.e., you switch from iTerm2 to some other app).
