Keep current line in the middle of the screen.

Hey, is there a way to have the current line always above or in the middle of the screen (apart from scrolling).
Working with iTerm in fullscreen means that after a couple commands I am always working on the very bottom of my screen, which is less than ideal.

I guess I'd create a horizontal split (cmd-shift-D) and just work in the top split. Or use a top-of-screen window style (prefs>profiles>window>window style). In general keeping the cursor in the middle of the screen doesn't work so well because of interactive programs like emacs which only work when they take the full screen.
