This happens from time to time but when it does its really annoying and I'm not sure how to fix it other than close the iterm window
I'm using iterm2 3.4.12 on MacOS Big Sur -- using ssh to remote linux and then using tmux.
I usually use mac's touchpad to scroll back to see prior commands entered, but commonly when using the scroll up or scroll down on the touchpad I get these characters:
( 5/10) upgrading linux-lts [###########################################] 100%
^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[A^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B
( 6/10) upgrading linux-lts-headers
rather than having the screen actually scroll up and down. These control characters are being interpreted as input rather than controlling.
Is there a way other than exiting the terminal to correct this so that I can actually scroll back through the screen buffer?
