I am using this tiny apps Go2Shell (http://zipzapmac.com/Go2Shell) to launch shell (Terminal or iTerm) in current Finder folder. Go2Shell executes following commands after shell is launched:

      cd %PATH%; clear; pwd

So it auto enters current Finder folder.

With iTerm 3.3.0, the above commands seem not to be triggered at all.

Any idea?

Thanks

I used to use Go2Shell too but they've abandoned it and it's got a few bugs. I switched to a similar app (bonus for being open source) - suggest you try this one out:

I'm using this with iTerm 3.3 + Mojave 10.14.6 and it's working fine. I use the "Lite" version which doesn't require the menubar app and opens the Terminal with just 1 click, same as Go2Shell.

I never heard about this app, very new repository created just few months ago... I will give this a try.

Thanks for the suggestion!

OpenTerminal-Lite is not working well too.

iTerm / Advanced

If Open a new window at startup = Yes
- OpenTerminal-Lite will launch iTerm with 2 tabs, one with default profile folder, one with current Finder folder.
- If I click iTerm from Dock / Launchpad, it launches only 1 window 1 tab

If Open a new window at startup = No
- OpenTerminal-Lite will launch iTerm with 1 tab, in current Finder folder.
- If I click iTerm from Dock / Launchpad, it starts but doesn't open any widow, have to click icon again.

The option "Open a new window at startup" behaved differently in v3.3.0 and old versions.

In old version, when it is off, click Dock icon will open 1 window, click Go2shell or OpenInTerminal will open 1 window 1 tab too.

In version 3.3.0, when it is off, click Dock icon will not open any window, click Go2shell or OpenInTerminal will open 1 window 1 tab.

Looks like a bug in old versions and it is fixed in 3.3.0, but I do like old way.

"Open a new window when you click the dock icon and no other windows are already open, and also on app launch no other windows are open?"

This option is supposed to open new window from dock but it didn't, it did nothing when it is set to Yes.

A bug?

open files in new window, not new tab = Yes
open a window at startup = Yes
open a new window when you click the dock icon and no windows are already open, and also on app launch when no other windows are open. = No

I kept changing these settings and finally, it started working... dunno what happened.
