I recently upgraded to the latest build of iTerm2 and there is one thing that I found to be problematic for me. I'm not sure if it's only me but it seems that the way the text is displayed is not very kind for my eyes. After a while I just find very difficult to look at the terminal and have to straggle to see what is there. I have an 27' iMac with 5K display. I use Courier New  size 14 as my font.  I never had that issue with previuse version. The only way I can get to look better for my eyes is to set the font to Bold though that does not look very aesthetic.
When I run both iTerm and Apple Terminal side by side with the same font the iTerm font seems to be much fainter  than Apple's. I have tried various settings but I can't make it look that way it looked in previous version.
Is there anything that can be done to change this?

I attached an example to illustrates my point.

Did you try turning off Prefs > Profiles > Text > Use thin strokes for anti-aliased text?

No, Thanks very much, that seems to fix the problem.
Thanks again.
