Hi,

Whenever I have a neovim session open and I switch tabs in iTerm2, something is placing "5984" into the neovim command line. I have no idea what might be responsible. I can't remember making any changes to my neovim config that would account for this. I'm not even sure if this is related to iTerm2. Any thoughts on potential culprits would be greatly appreciated.

Kinda sounds like focus reporting might be causing a problem. Turn it off under Session > Terminal State and see if that helps.

Sorry to ping an old thread, but any updates on this? I have the same issue with switching iTerm2 window panes. I disabled focus reporting, both for the specific session and permanently via advanced settings, but the issue persists.

Can you file an issue and include a debug log? That should provide a definitive answer.

In preparing the bug report, I updated iterm2 and the issue was resolved (see https://github.com/neovim/neovim/issues/33929). Sorry for the mistaken ping.
