Uninstall iTerm2

Good day, 

I installed iTerm2 to try this out via DMG. Now I want to uninstall it but unfortunately it does not work. Have tried different ways here, like here in this thread: how to uninstall iTerm2 Have also recreated the launch service several times. Unfortunately iTerm2 always comes back. Has anyone had the same experience with this?
