Using the hotkey window prevents switching to iterm2 by launching it

Just noticed a weird behavior.

Use case: open an iterm window, either move it to another Desktop or make it full screen. Then go back to the previous Desktop, use the hotkey window, then hide it. Now calling iterm2 (either clicking its icon on the Dock or calling it from Alfred) does not switch to the maximized (and only visible) iterm2 window anymore.

Moreover, I’ve been experiencing weird "auto-switch" behaviors recently, after I’ve started using the hotkey window, where my 2nd monitor (where iterm2 always sits in fullscreen) will auto-switch from a Desktop to iterm2 after switching app on my 1st monitor. I definitely think those two are related.
