Cannot instal iTerm2-3_4_18 on MacOS10.14 Mojave

install iterm2     via brew install I think

go to https://iterm2.com/downloads.html   for older versions    (Did this routine multiple times)
 downloaded 3_4_18 for macOS 10.14
 opened file.. dragged icon to Applications folder  
 I should have launched it here
installed     zsh & Oh_My_Zsh
Open iTerm2
