Iterm2 Ctrl-C Not Working

Hello!

I'm running Item2 v3.4.18 on macOS v12.1.

Recently, the Ctrl-C within the terminal stopped working — now when I try and Ctrl-C out of running programs, I just get the following output and no action is taken:

"5u9;5u9;5u"

I've tried restarting my computer, updating iTerm, but all to no avail. Any thoughts here?

Update: I've fixed this temporarily by remapping cmd+j to the interrupt signal in iterm2, but still pretty curious how this happened in the first place
