Sub: Invitation to TWO day National Seminar on Medical thermography’,    

          21st & 22nd September2011. 

 

Greetings!

 

We would like to extend a warm invitation to you for our two day ‘National Seminar on Medical Thermography’ being conducted by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, SRM University in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) , Indian Society of Radiation Physics, Indian Nuclear Society, Kalpakkam on 21st & 22nd September2011 at our University Campus.

 

SEMINAR CONTENT

The two day seminar will take you through Basics of Medical Thermography, Advances in Infrared (IR) Camera Technology, Techniques of  Pulsed & Lock-inthermography,3-Dimensional Medical thermography, Reference Temperature Standard for IR Camera, Applications of Medical Thermography in Breast Cancer, Diabetes Mellitus, Rheumatoid Arthritis & Connective Tissue Disease, Image Processing in Medical Thermography, Medical Thermography - Past, Present & Future and Interactive Demonstrations with Case Study

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The Seminar is aimed to appeal to a variety of National/International participants including Researchers/Faculties in the field of Biomedical, Medical Physics, Biotechnology, Image Processing, Basic & Engineering Sciences, Radiologists/ Sonologists, General Medical Professionals, Medical Imaging Technologists.

 

PAPER SUBMISSION

All persons engaged in original research work/ projects related to various aspects of ‘Medical Thermography’ are welcome to submit an abstract in the prescribed format on or before the 25th August, 2011 to the Secretary of the Seminar by an email mentioned above. A maximum of two abstracts can be submitted by team members. However students pursuing UG/ PG courses are encouraged to submit the abstracts under the student’s best oral/ or poster competition category. An effort is being made to publish the best articles presented in a reputed International Journal following usual refereeing procedures, after the seminar.
