Main Duties
We are
looking for a senior Java developer and technical lead with proven expertise in
software design / architecture for real time, performance focused systems.
As well as being responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the
architecture framework, the candidate will be involved in implementing new
strategic components as well as analysis, documentation and streamlining of the
existing applications process flows. This will be facilitated by a
Test/Behaviour-Driven Development approach.

Computer Science
Experience Required – 10+ years
Technical :
Server Side –
Java 6 to Java 8 - JUnit, JPA, JMS, Spring (IoC), PL/SQL (Oracle),
Multithreading, Concurrency
EAI / EDA / SOA design patterns and principles, test driven development practices.
Experience Preferred
Technical:
Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, UNIX, Hibernate, JBoss, Continuous integration, TeamCity,
Perforce
C# .NET 4.0 Framework – WPF, PRISM, MVVM, Unity, DevExpress as well as
Winforms, NUnit.
NoSQL, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, HTML5, and web UI. LDAP, Kerberos, Unix scripting.
Business: Investment Banking, Settlements
Skills / Aptitude Required:
Technical Design (translating business requirements into code)
Behaviour driven testing using Cucumber or JBehave
Integration testing – JUNIT, NUNIT
Automated builds – TeamCity. Deployment Tools
Problem Management (investigation, diagnostics, and escalation)
Investment banking products knowledge (Bonds, Equities)
Agile Development practices (eg Scrum), Familiarity with Lean principles
Good communication skills
Solid experience in writing re-usable test cases
Customer focus - able to deliver a first class service
Versatile - able to multi task and give 100% to tasks assigned
Team Player - must fit within a professional team
Self starter - Able to manage own deliverables with little supervision
