ITC 2019: Middle Instances

Dear competitors,

The middle data instances have been published and are available at the ITC 2019 web site www.itc2019.org.

There are 10 problems from 6 institutions of varying size and diverse characteristics. More details are available at www.itc2019.org/middle-instances.

Please note that the late dataset, which will be the last, will be released on November 8 and the competition will conclude on November 18, 2019. While the order of the competitors will be based on all the published data instances (early, middle, and late), the instances released later in the competition have a much higher weight in the final ranking. More details are available in the competition rules.

When you successfully validate some of your solutions, please consider uploading them on the competition website, even if you are not able to solve all the instances yet (see Q&A for more details on how to do that). Thank you!

Dear competitors,

There has been an issue with the class limit discovered in two middle instances (the class limit was too small to fit all students requesting the course on about 20 courses of muni-pdf-spr16 and one course pu-d5-spr17). These two instances have been corrected. If you have downloaded the middle instances already, please re-download the two instances again.

You can tell that you have a correct instance by checking the following limits

- in instance muni-pdf-spr16, class 1 has a limit 40 (not 25)

- in instance pu-d5-spr17, class 995 has a limit 46 (not 40)
